Messing About in Boats, Boots, and Byways:

Industrial Strength Dockware

Buffalo's big boy dockware

24 May 02: We took a walk along the Buffalo Waterfront out by the entrance to the Harbor. Lots of dockware.

Big Boy dockware stands ready, with channel marker and the breakwater beyond. These pix were taken on the Memorial Day 2002 weekend. Finally we had a warm and clear day after weeks of frosted spring.
Another Buffalo Big Boy on the Waterfront.
And a big-big cleat.
Old Yellow offers a well-worn contrast to newish condos on the Waterfront.
Old One-Ear still serves on the Waterfront. Iron straps hold quarried breakwater stones together.

Looking south across the entrance to the Harbor: That's the Lighthouse and part of the Coast Guard station.
